Bill Ruple is a master at making slip joint folders.  He has taught and inspired so many knifemakers on how to make folding knives, that it's almost impossible to list them.  You have to hold one of Bill's knives to truly appreciate the fit and finish, and his attention to detail.  He has been making knives since 1988.  The quality of his knives has been consistent throughout his career.  He has made knives with from one to five blades.  No matter what he makes or what show he attends, he always sells out - and quickly!

This very large two-blade Trapper was acquired directly from Bill Ruple.  It features a clip point blade and a spey blade, both made from Chad Nichols "Starfire" Damascus.  Both blades have half stops.  Both blades have nicely sized nail nicks, each with a firm yet easy pull.  The front bolster is 416 stainless steel, as are the pins and liners.  The scales are black Carbon Fiber.  There is an inlaid .45 ACP bullet shaped shield on one side.  And a lanyard hole, for the pull of your choice.  Both blades lock up tight with no play, and the blade seating of each is dead center in their respective liners.  The fit and finish on Bill's knives are second to none.  It is a big knife, weighing approximately 7.4 ounces.  This one really "walks and talks" - and loud too!  One of Bill's nicest!  Includes a padded zippered case.
