Jim Sornberger Damascus, Gold Engraved San Francisco Folder (SOLD)

Jim Sornberger hails from Volcano, CA and is well-known for crafting custom knives with outstanding fit and finish.  This liner-lock knife is Jim's "San Francisco" folder.  It is a sole authorship piece, all work done by the maker.  It is marked "J. Sornberger Volcano CA" inside the handle on the back of the backspacer.  It features a Devin Thomas Damascus blade, and a Nickel Silver handle beautifully engraved on both sides and inlaid on both sides with California Gold Quartz and Natural California Gold Nuggets.  All the engraving was done by Jim.  It also has a Natural Gold Nugget on the thumbstud.  There is very tasteful filework done along the backspacer, as well.  The blade opens smoothly, locks up tight with no play, and is right about centered when closed.  A beautiful work of art!
