Tanner Couch is a part-time slip-joint knifemaker from Tilden, TX.  He has been making knives for about 5 or 6 years.  Tanner is a member of the South Texas SlipJoint Cartel, whose members are a who's who of top tier slip-joint knifemakers.   Tanner is a student of Bill Ruple, or as I like to refer to the many who Bill has mentored, a "Ruple Pupil". Tanner has learned well and should definitely be "on your radar".  He has taken Bill's advice to heart and looks to make each knife he builds better than his last.  His goal is to build a knife that is functional, well-made and "good looking".  This knife is Brand New and direct from Tanner's table at Blade Show 2022.

This is Tanner's Eureka Jack slip-joint folding knife.  It features a hand-rubbed CPM-154 stainless steel blade, 416 stainless steel bolsters and pins, and 410 stainless steel liners that have been relieved.  The scales are creamy and well-mated fossilized material.  Tanner has placed a shadow Federal Shield into the presentation side of the handle, with a black Micarta inlay.  The blade features a half-stop, locks up tight with no blade play, and the blade seating is at center.  Nice comfortable nail pull, that is both firm and smooth.  Walks and talks too.  An awesome piece of work from the student of the master!  Comes in a Tanner Couch padded, zippered case.
