Ben Breda is an ABS Journeyman smith from Hope, Maine. He began making knives in 2012, and earned his J.S. stamp in 2014. He builds beautiful and functional knives using only the highest quality materials. All his blades are hand forged from high carbon steels and Damascus. Ben has a real passion for knife making.  He puts in a lot of hours into each knife he crafts, and takes great pride in the finished product.  He is definitely one of the “up-and-coming” new smiths in the ABS – certainly one to watch – and definitely worthy of anyone’s collection.

This is Ben's "Ebony Fighter".  It features a hand forged blade of W-2 steel differentially heat treated with clay, producing a beautiful, subtle Hamon.  The S-shaped guard is stainless steel, the spacers are file-worked stainless steel, the collar is Damascus, and the handle is an expertly carved piece of Ebony wood that just screams to be held.  Accompanying the knife is a heavy leather sheath with keeper strap and belt loop, also made by Ben.  This knife came directly from Ben's shop in Maine.  It is in Brand New condition.  This is a really nice package that anyone would be proud to own.
