Bill Ruple is a master at making slip joint folders.  He has taught and inspired so many knifemakers on how to make folding knives, that it's almost impossible to list them.  You have to hold one of Bill's knives to truly appreciate the fit and finish, and his attention to detail.  He has been making knives since 1988.  The quality of his knives has been consistent throughout his career.  No matter what show he attends, he always sells out - and quickly!

This 3-blade split-back Seahorse Whittler slip-joint folding knife features a Wharncliffe main blade, and two (2) very similar looking modified clip point blades.  All the blades are CPM-154, and all have half stops.  The front and rear bolsters are 416 stainless steel.  They are all fluted, with shadow lines above and below the fluting.  The pins and liners, which are integral to the bolsters, are also 416 stainless.  The scales are two slabs of beautifully matched presentation grade Amber Stag.  There's an inlaid 416 stainless steel oval-shaped shield on the presentation side of the handle, stamped "RUPLE".  Also, notice in the photo of the back of the handle how the springs "merge" towards the main blade, resulting in the split back "gap" in the springs where they meet.  All the blades lock up tight with no blade play, and the blade seatings are all properly aligned.  The knife was previously owned in a one-owner collection.  It is in excellent condition.  Great walk-and-talk from the master!  Comes in a Bill's Custom padded, hook-and-loop case.
