Brian Nadeau, owner of Sharp By Design did an outstanding job with his first folder model, the Typhoon flipper.  It was so outstanding that Brian took home "Best Tactical Folder" at the 2014 Blade Show.  His newest model, the Cyclone is just as impressive.  Brian has developed a very loyal following of knife enthusiasts.  His knives are innovative, of the highest quality, exhibit amazing fit and finish, and clearly demonstrate his knife making talent.  Not to mention - they are just down right beautiful.

This Cyclone flipper is Brian's 3D Version of the model.  He didn't make too many of these in 3D.  The harpoon-shaped Bowie style blade is CPM S35VN with a Rockwell Hardness of 60, jimping on the spine, and a satin finish that mates perfectly with the silver anodized faux bolster insert.  The handle is 6AL-4V titanium, 3D machined and anodized gold, with sculpted silver-finished titanium faux inserts.  It features an AEB-L stainless replaceable lockbar insert with an integrated detent nub.  Brian has done a great job matching the shape of the handle with the profile of the blade - it all flows together.  It looks great, and feels even better in-hand.  The backspacer is also 6AL-4V titanium, and the clip and all the hardware are 410 Stainless Steel.  The blade runs on Brian's ball thrust bearing pivot design, and flips effortless.  It has a very secure, early lock-up - absolutely rock-solid with no blade play whatsoever.  It exhibits excellent detent, and the blade is perfectly centered when closed.  Brian marks the pivot with his initials "BN", as well the flipper tab.  Brian's books are now closed on the Cyclone.  Comes in a padded zippered case provided by the maker.
