Bubba Crouch Damascus and Stag Trapper, Slip-Joint Folding Knife (SOLD)

This item is out of stock

Bubba Crouch is a South Texas Slip-Joint knifemaker from Pleasanton, TX.  No surprise that he learned to make knives from the Maestro, Bill Ruple.  Bubba has been making knives since 2009, but his work is that of a much more seasoned knifemaker.  Bubba is a part-time maker and has taken slip-joint knives to the next level.  His work is distinctive, and the high-quality materials he uses and his fit-and-finish, reflect his attention to detail and passion for knifemaking.

This Bubba Crouch single blade Trapper features a clip point blade made from herringbone Damascus.  The scales are presentation grade premium stag, with a 416 stainless steel hammered Arrowhead shield inlaid on the presentation side.  The bolsters are 416 stainless steel, integral to the liners.  The front bolster has been fluted.  The liners have been relieved and are jeweled inside the handle.  Bubba has also done some tasteful file-work on the liners.  The pins are also 416 stainless.  The blade has a nicely sized, comfortable nail nick.  The spring is tight.  The pull is strong and smooth.  The blade locks up tight with no play, and the blade seating is centered between the liners.  The blade has a half stop.  Nice walk and talk.  Comes in a padded zippered "Crouch Knives" case.  The knife is new from Bubba at Blade Show Texas 2023.
