David Lespect is from the Drome department in France and has been making knives for about 17 years.  His knives have a global appeal.  They are very collectible, and highly regarded by both his peers and collectors.  David makes some of the finest slip-joints, fixed blades, and locking folding knives, available anywhere.  From raw materials to the meticulous construction and assembly, it is all about the fit and finish of the knife.  He has mastered the ability of making a piece that is both functional, as well as pleasing to see and hold.  His fit and finish is second to none, each knife having incredible detail.

This liner-lock, front flipper is brand new and direct from David at the 2022 Blade Show.  The drop point blade is W1 high carbon steel, with an outstanding hamon.  The liners and tip-up mounted pocket clip are titanium.  The scales are stunning, creamy fossilized material with beautiful blues and greens.  David has done an outstanding job of contouring the entire handle, so that the knife melts in the palm of your hand.  David has also added just enough jimping on the blade spine to assist with flipping the blade open with your thumb.  And he has included a white backspacer that I believe to be G10 (not indicated on the COA).  The blade flips open super smooth and quick.  You don't have to flip the blade.  Although there is no nail nick, there is plenty of blade available should you want to pinch it to open.  The blade has just the right detent, locks up rock solid, sits dead center in the liners, and there is absolutely no lock stick.  The knife comes in a Lespect leather slip pouch, with a COA and a sticker - all in a small brown paper bag with sticker, provided by David.  This knife is flawless!
