Jim Burke Damascus Rockstar #02, Frame-Lock Folding Knife

Jim Burke is a well-respected custom maker with a high demand for his knives.  He partnered with friend Lee Nottingham, a master machinist, and made this CNC-machined “production” version of one of his most popular custom knives.  The production Rockstar is an exact copy of the earlier, now retired, limited-production custom knife.  Jim makes only custom knives, while Lee makes the production models.  However, Jim sharpens and inspects every Burke production knife, so his hands are still involved in working every knife with his name on it.

This frame-lock production Rockstar features a Jim Burke hand ground Chad Nichols stainless Damascus blade, and a titanium handle.  The handle scales are carved on both sides with long "flames" that have been anodized blue.  The titanium carve-outs have been milled with a satin finish.  There is also a milled titanium backspacer.  The 440C pivot pin is made by Lee, and the construction is Teflon washer based.  The blade sits centered in the frame, opens smoothly, and locks up rock solid.  The knife is marked "02" and "JB" on the frame-lock side near the pivot pin.  The  futuristic-looking pocket clip is set for tip down carry, and is etched with the word “Rockstar”.  It comes in the original Burke Knives box.  It is in new, mint condition.
