This outstanding folding knife was made by Swedish knifemaker, Kaj Embretsén.  He is known for his outstanding fit and finish, and attention to detail.  And he uses only the finest of materials.  His knives are truly works of art.  They define the words "pocket jewelry".  Kaj only attends 3 shows each year in the U.S. -  The East Coast Custom Knife Show, The Solvang Custom Knife Show, and The Art Knife Invitational (AKI).  He also attends a handful of shows outside the U.S.  He has won number awards all over the world for his work.

This lock-back folding knife is a classic example of the quality of his work.  It features scales of fossilized organic material with "blue hues", a 176 layer Damascus blade of 15N20 - 1870, Mosaic Damascus bolsters, and 14 Carat Gold pins and bail.  There is file-work on the liners, as well as the backspacer.  Kaj stamps his last name on the inside of the backspacer.  The knife opens smoothly with the thumbstud, and locks up tight with no play.  It releases easily with the back lock, and the blade sits dead center between the liners.  Absolutely a gorgeous piece for any collector.  Comes in a padded, zippered case.
