This Lloyd Hale fixed blade hunting knife was made in the early 1970s.  It comes from the original one owner collection, who purchased it directly from Mr. Hale.  It is in excellent unused, unsharpened and uncarried condition, and includes the original leather pouch-type belt sheath also made by Mr. Hale.  The sheath has an embossed squirrel near the throat, as well as the original owner's initials, "BRH".  The blade is O1 tool steel, and the handle is tiger stripe maple wood.  The brass single finger guard has some patina (greening) from age and storage, as well as some "rough" areas.  The pins are also brass.  The visible full-tang construction shows a slightly tapered tang, and a little file-work on the top and bottom of the ricasso.  There are also black liners between the scales and tang, as well as below the guard.

This small hunter would also be a great knife for camping, hiking or backpacking.  And if you don't own a Lloyd Hale in your collection, this would be the perfect knife to add to your collection.  There is no pouch included with the knife and sheath.
