This is a large Steve Dunn, M.S. carbon steel Bowie.  This knife is from my personal collection.  It was purchased directly from Steve at a Guild Show a number of years ago.  It was recently sent back to Steve for a blade buffing and clean-up.  It has never been used, carried or sharpened.  The blade is forged from 52100 steel (top swedge has not been sharpened), and the handle (from what Steve remembers) is a solid piece of ironwood with stainless pins.  The guard is also 416 stainless steel.  Steve is also a Master Engraver and teaches at the GRS Engraving School in Emporia, KS.  This knife has great lines, is well balanced, and feels great in your hand.  This is an outstanding example of Steve's forging ability.  Steve is not making many fixed blade knives these days.  If you're lucky, he may have one at his table at a Blade Show.  You're more likely to find him working on a slip-joint folder or engraving a knife or gun.  This would be a great addition to any collection.  Steve told me that if he were to make this knife today, the cost would be at least $1800.  It will come in a padded zippered case - no sheath.  If you need a sheath, I would suggest contacting Kenny Rowe at Rowe's Leather.

Condition:  From my personal collection - never used, carried or sharpened
