Dick Atkinson Custom Handmade Fixed Blade Fighting Knife (SOLD)

This handmade drop point fixed blade fighting knife was made by Dick Atkinson of Wausau, FL, and is in absolutely perfect condition.  It is near mint, without any signs of use or storage.  Dick is well know in the knife world for his sensibly priced, tough tactical fixed blade knives and folders.  This small fighter has a unique design with great ergonomics.  It is made from a 3/16" thick piece of what we were told was 440C steel with satin finish.  Dick has done some very tasteful filework behind the integral dual guard, for both the top thumb ramp and finger choil - it adds a great looking embellishment to the blade, as well as adds to the security of your grip.  The handle is an unknown wood that is pinned in 32 places on each side with nickel silver pins.  It gives the handle (and knife) an overall great appearance.  The wood pieces are each 1/4" thick, making the handle 11/16" thick, and giving it a substantial feel with great grip.  Accenting the handle are red liners around the entire perimeter of the wood.  There is no sheath.  It will be shipped in a padded zippered case.
