Vintage Buck Custom Shop U.S.A., D-Guard Bowie Knife, Leather Sheath
This vintage Buck D-Guard Bowie Knife was made in the Buck Custom Shop by Dean Davidson. The "button" seen in the sixth (6th) photo, where the D-guard meets the double lugged guard, has his initials "DD" stamped in it. They were difficult to capture in a photo, but they are there under magnification, hidden in the patina. The knife features a 0.195" thick highly polished tool steel blade, antler / stag handle, brass double lugged D-guard and brass pommel with a "skull crusher". The blade has "BUCK Custom U.S.A." stamp on the presentation side. The top of the clip point has been mildly sharpened. Both the guard and pommel have developed a patina from age. This is surprisingly "light" knife, relatively speaking, for its size. It was previously owned, and considering its age, is in excellent condition. The blade appears to be unused and unsharpened. There is a tooled leather belt sheath, also done in the Buck Custom Shop. The head of the snap of the keeper strap is stamped "BUCK". There is no padded zippered case.
Condition: Previously owned. Excellent.
Never used, carried or sharpened
