Crusader Forge STREET FIGHTER Frame-Lock Flipper, 01 of 01, One Of A Kind (SOLD)

Crusader Forge Custom Knives are designed for extreme and hard use. All Crusader Forge knives are 100% custom handcrafted by master bladesmith and designer, Maciej Szczerbiak.  They are 100% made in U.S.A. from domestic steel and materials.  His blade material is Triple Tempered CPM S30V Stainless Steel with an HRC of 59-60.  Each Crusader Forge knife handle is custom fabricated.   They are custom textured to ensure positive hold, regardless of your grip configuration.  The handles are fastened to the knife using Stainless Steel Fasteners with Torx ™ T25 drive for maximum strength.  Each knife design is prototyped and function tested against various materials such as wood, rope, muscle, bone, sheet metal and anything else Maciej may have left in the shop that has reached the end of its useful life.  Edge holding characteristics, transverse toughness and cutting ability are all evaluated prior to finalizing a knife design.

This Crusader Forge "Street Fighter" is a "one off" (01 - 01, One of a kind, as indicated on the COA).  Street Fighters are coveted by both collectors and users and difficult to find, especially a one of a kind.  This frame-lock Street Fighter features a sculpted handle made from 0.25" thick scales of GR38 (Grade 38) titanium, which is used for aerospace, defense and industrial applications.  It has a number of significant advantages over the titanium Maciej typically works with, including but not limited to producing a superior finish.  The 0.25" thick, drop point blade is CPM S30V stainless steel.  The entire knife - blade, frame and clip - are all done in Maciej's signature Phantom finish.  I believe that Maciej uses bearings for his flippers.  The knife can be opened using the low profile flipper tab to "start" deployment of the blade, which then requires a bit of wrist action.  It can also be opened manually, using your thumb on the large cutout on the blade.  The blade flips fast and with authority, locking with a nice clunk sound.  This particular Street Fighter exhibits no lock stick, which is somewhat unusual for such a big, heavy blade from Crusader Forge.  The frame-lock holds the blade open rock solid - no movement whatsoever.  And the blade is centered in the handle when closed.  The knife comes from the original owner.  It is in the same condition when it was originally purchased - excellent to near mint (just because it has been previously owned).  It includes a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Maciej.  No box.
