Crusader Forge Tanto Apex EDC 01-01 (SOLD)
Crusader Forge Custom Knives are designed for extreme and hard use. All Crusader Forge knives are 100% custom handcrafted by master bladesmith and designer, Maciej Szczerbiak. They are 100% made in U.S.A. from domestic steel and materials. His blade material is Triple Tempered CPM S30V Stainless Steel with an HRC of 59-60. Each Crusader Forge knife handle is custom fabricated. They are custom textured to ensure positive hold, regardless of your grip configuration. The handles are fastened to the knife using Stainless Steel Fasteners with Torx™ T25 drive for maximum strength. Each knife design is prototyped, and function tested against various materials such as wood, rope, muscle, bone, sheet metal and anything else Maciej may have left in the shop that has reached the end of its useful life. Edge holding characteristics, transverse toughness and cutting ability are all evaluated prior to finalizing a knife design.
This frame-lock APEX EDC features a CPM S30V tanto grind blade with oblong thumb groove (for right-handers), and a sculpted titanium handle with a 3D finish. The blade finish is KG 2404 FDE (Flat Dark Earth) 3D. The open blade is rock solid - no movement whatsoever. And the blade is perfectly centered in the handle when closed. The blade is 0.250" thick, and the handle scales are each approximately 0.155" thick. This knife is previously owned and does not come with the original box. It will be packed securely when shipped. It does come with the original Certificate of Authenticity signed by Maciej. The COA indicates that the knife model is "APEX EDC", and that this is number "01-01". Please note that although this knife has not been used, carried or sharpened, both sides of the blade have some light spotting / staining, visible in the photos. It certainly does not take anything away from the knife's functionality or impressiveness. It would make a great everyday carry piece.
