David Lespect is from the Drome department in France.  His knives have a global appeal.  They are very collectible, and highly regarded by both his peers and collectors.  David makes some of the finest slip-joints, fixed blades, and locking folding knives, available anywhere.  From raw materials to the meticulous construction and assembly, it is all about the fit and finish knife.  He has mastered the ability of making a piece that is both functional, as well as pleasing to see and hold.  His fit and finish is second to none, each knife having incredible detail.

This liner-lock, front flipper is brand new and direct from David at the 2019 Blade Show.  The drop point blade is W2, with an outstanding hamon.  The liners are titanium, the bolster is Damascus, and the scales are dark, rich Ebony.  The bolster has been beautifully contoured, and flows with the lines of the knife.  He has done an outstanding job of contouring the entire handle, so that the knife melts in the palm of your hand.  David has also added just enough jimping on the blade spine to assist with flipping the blade open with your thumb.  And check out the curvature and lines of the ebony backspacer.  The blade flips open smooth and quick.  There is no nail nick, but there's plenty of blade to pull on with your fingers, if you choose not to flip it.  The blade has just the right detent, locks up rock solid, sits dead center in the liners, and there is absolutely no lock stick.  The knife comes in a leather slip pouch, with a COA and a couple of stickers - all packaged neatly in David's cardboard tube.  This knife is flawless!
