From the Emerson website...This is the Emerson Carver. I like it a lot. Let me tell you why. I really like the blade shape of a classic carving knife. It’s got almost a saber style blade that is perfect for almost any carving task you would ever encounter in a kitchen. And it’s meant for meat and in my family, we are definitely carnivores so our Carver gets used a lot. Secondly, the Emerson Carver is shorter – by a number of inches than any other classic or store-bought carving knife that I’ve ever owned. They are simply too long. Our carver is “just right” at 11 inches overall with a 6-inch blade. I have found that it is the perfect size for every task I’ve put the edge to. It carves beautifully. It’s easy to handle. It’s a perfect addition to any camp or kitchen. And it’s a damned handsome knife. The USA made Buffalo Hide Leather Sheath is included with each Carver. Please note, each sheath will differ due to being a natural material. There may be slight differences in color or natural marks in the leather.
This Ernie Emerson Carver-SF is designed specifically for your carving needs. The Carver fixed blade makes an excellent addition to any chef's kitchen, or load it into your gear for your next outdoor adventure. It features a 154CM conventional V-grind, with a Rockwell hardness of 57-59RC, and a Black Richlite handle. The Carver was done in a limited run of only 0059 pieces, and each knife was serialized. This knife is serial number 0044. The Carver-SF is Sold Out everywhere.
In addition to the leather sheath, the knife will ship with the pictured pamphlet, sticker and caution insert. The knife is previously owned, and in Brand New condition. It has never been used, sharpened or carried. Please note that the knife will come with the original cardboard box provided by Emerson. HOWEVER, it is oversized for the knife, and would require a much larger shipping box than really necessary. THEREFORE, I will de-construct the box to flat, and include it in the shipping box.
