David Grossman) Sheepdog is one of the most popular knives we’ve ever produced.  And now it is available in this special run of Sheepdog XHD’s. Man, it’s a great knife and now it's an XHD Great Knife.  I used to think 2+2 = 4 but in this case 2+2 = 4000. Get one while you can.  The XHD (Extra Heavy Duty) series of knives are some of the most successful models of knives we’ve ever produced.  Many times the entire run of whichever model it is sells completely out on the very first day.  Spearpoint available only.  They are not going to be gathering any dust on our shelves if they even get that far.  Most of our XHD knives get cleaned, boxed and shipped without any stops in between. This Ernie Emerson XHD Sheepdog Spearpoint SF is serial number 009, of only (I believe) 60 made.  The XHD Sheepdog is currently out-of-stock, discontinued and unavailable.  The Extra Heavy Duty variation of the Sheepdog is in high demand, with limited availability in the secondary market.  It features a S35VN spearpoint stainless steel blade with a conventional V-grind with chisel edge.  The scales are textured and ergonomic black G10.  This knife opens with a flipper, as well as manually, with the "fancy" spoked thumb disc.  This knife also features Emerson's patented Wave feature.  The liners are titanium with a steel lockbar insert, providing a secure and solid lock-up when the knife is opened.  The pocket clip is stainless and set for tip up carry.  And the raised backspacer is titanium, as well.  The knife flips / opens smoothly, and the lock-up is rock solid.  The blade is perfectly centered.  Included is an Emerson Skull Bead with box-braided lanyard.  Comes in the original Emerson box, with Emerson decal, plastic bag and paperwork.
