Corrie Schoeman Fossil and Damascus Liner-Lock Folding Knife

Corrie Schoeman Fossil and Damascus Liner-Lock Folding Knife

South African knifemaker, Corrie Schoeman has been making knives for over 30 years.  He started while attending college.  His first knife was a big Bowie, fashioned from a car spring and a piece of stag from the local zoo.  Although he earned two university degrees, he continued to make knives on a part-time basis.  Knifemaking became such a passion that he left his profession and started full-time as a knifemaking artist.  He has been a member of the South African Knifemakers Guild since 1985.  Today he only makes folders and autos.  He prefers to use the best exotic materials available, such as mammoth ivory, pearl and Damascus.  All his folders have file-worked liners and backspacers, and each folder has a jewel inlaid somewhere on the on the knife as well as in the thumbstud. This liner-lock folding knife features a spear-point stainless Damascus blade, and the bolster is Damascus, as well.  The handle is comprised of two (2) ancient, fossilized scales.  The liners are file-worked, blue anodized titanium.  The pins are stainless and the backspacer has rope-and-vine file-work.  The right-handed thumbstud has an unknown stone jewel inlay.  To the best of my knowledge, the knife has  never used, carried or sharpened.  There are some faint minor rubs on the bolster.  Otherwise, it is in excellent condition.  The blade sits just about centered between the liners when closed.  The blade opens smoothly and locks up tight when opened.  It did not come to me with a case, but I will make sure it includes some kind of sleeve or pouch for storage/carry.

Condition:   Previously owned.  Excellent.  Never used, carried or sharpened.
