From Don's website (Morrow Knives)..."My name is Don Morrow and I build handmade folding knives (slip joints). My business rests on my reputation. Therefore, each knife I build is of the highest quality workmanship and materials. Because I am committed to constructing only the finest quality knives, I devote as much time as needed per knife to ensure my customers receive the best quality knives possible.

With an invitation from Bill Ruple to visit his shop to learn how to make "pocket knives" I had my first lesson the summer of 2000. After attending a knife show in August, I began purchasing equipment to try my hand at knifemaking. By October my knife shop was fully functional and I sold my first knife in December of 2000. Upon retirement in December of 2004, I became a full-time knifemaker."

This two-blade Trapper features a hand-rubbed Clip Point blade and Spey blade, both made from CPM 154 stainless steel.  Both blades have half stops.  Both blades have ample nail nicks with firm, smooth pulls.  The scales are well-matched, highly figured and richly colored amber stag.  The bolsters are 416 stainless steel, as are the liners, pins, and oval shield.  The oval shield has an engraved feather.  Don has done some extensive file-work along both backsprings, and along the first approximately 1.25" of the blade spines.  He has also done some fine file-work on the integral liners.  The file-work along the back of the handle is a different pattern than the file-work done on the liners of the blade wells.  Lots of great talent going on here.  Don's tolerances, and fit and finish, are outstanding.  You can tell that he learned from Master Ruple.  Don has stamped "MORROW" on the ricasso of the clip point blade.  Both blades lock up tight and are centered between their respective liners.  This is a one-owner knife from a collection, in excellent condition.  Comes in a padded, zippered case.
