Enrique Peña Full-Size BackPocket Trapper Westinghouse Micarta Slip-Joint Folding Knife (SOLD)
Enrique Peña Full-Size BackPocket Trapper Westinghouse Micarta Slip-Joint Folding Knife (SOLD)
Enrique Peña was mentored by master of the slip-joint folding knife, Bill Ruple. Enrique's skills, fit and finish, and attention to detail are all outstanding. According to Enrique..."My goal is to always be best at what I do. I strive to create unique knives. As you can see, I like to blend old styles with modern building techniques and modern materials. This is my full- time job and I take great pride in what I do. I hope the people that support me by buying my knives, greatly enjoy them as much as I enjoy building them."
This full-size BackPocket is a Tony Bose pattern. And Enrique has executed it perfectly! The knife features a clip point blade made from CPM-154 stainless steel, with a half stop. The blade has an ample nail nick, with a firm, yet smooth pull. The scales are brown Westinghouse Micarta, with a classic Federal shield on the presentation side, pinned in 3 places. The fluted bolster and fittings are all 416 stainless steel, as are the liners. The blade locks up tight with no play, and the blade sits centered between the liners. The fit and finish on this knife is second to none. Look at the transition from blade tang to backspring -you can barely see where one starts and the other stops. Enrique has definitely mastered the walk-and-talk. This knife is new from Enrique. Comes in a padded, zippered Peña case.
