ESNYX Custom COBIA Vintage Rag Micarta Slip-Joint Folding Knife (SOLD)

ESNYX Custom COBIA Vintage Rag Micarta Slip-Joint Folding Knife (SOLD)

From the ESNYX website..."I have been making custom knives since November of 2014 in my home shop in Sarasota, Florida.  Whether it be my original design, or a reproduction from old Sheffield, England, I strive to make each knife it's own work of art that is not only beautiful, but functionally precise. The challenge of blending aesthetics and utility is part of what drives my passion for making pocket knives, and continues to push me to advance in my craft. I strive for the best, and that is all I can hope to put out there.  In the summer of 2019 I was honored with the "Best New Maker" award at the Blade Show.  In October of 2022 I was awarded "Best Custom Slip Joint" at Blade Show West.  In March of 2023 I was awarded "Best Custom Slip Joint" and "Best in Show Custom Knife" at Blade Show Texas."  Evan was recently honored with the Best Of Show and Best EDC awards at Blade Show Texas 2024.  And at Blade Show 2024, Evan was honored with the Best Of Show and Best Folder Awards.

This is Evan's custom COBIA model, a gentleman's slip-joint folding knife, new from Blade Show 2024.  So far, only the Cobia Prototype has been posted to the ESNYX website.  This Cobia features a modified Wharncliffe-shaped, hand rubbed, satin finished CPM 20CV stainless steel blade and Vintage Rag Micarta scales.  There are mustard-colored spacers between the scales and the bronzed titanium liners.  Evan has not spared any detail on the knife.  The liners have also been jeweled with a honeycomb pattern and their color matches the brown tones of the knife.  Evan has also bronzed the fancy star-shaped pivot and pins, and inlayed a bronzed titanium bar-shaped shield.  He's also stamped the year and blade/spring steel inside the spring.  It comes with Evan's signed metal Certificate Of Authenticity (COA) card, leather ESNYX slip and a blue ESNYX padded, zippered pouch.   The blade opens easily and smoothly with a long pull or a pinch, has a half stop and sits centered between the liners.  Nice walk and talk.  A great everyday carry or add it to your collection.
