John Horrigan M.S. 2-Blade Wharncliffe Trapper Slip-Joint Folding Knife

John Horrigan built his first knife in 1982.  Today he is a Master Smith and member of the American Bladesmith Society, earning his M.S. stamp in 2005.  He makes both forged and Damascus knives, as well as tomahawks and folding knives.  He was a former saw gunner with Alpha Company 3rd 75th Ranger Battalion.  He has been in law enforcement for the past 21 years, and he is also a firefighter with the Austin Fire Department for 17 years.  John is one of the most talented knifemakers I have ever met - a real gentleman, and a personal friend.  Please visit John's website, Elite Knives, to read and see more about his work.  His site is dedicated to his twin brother, Msg. This is John's two-blade Wharncliffe Trapper (WT) slip-joint folding knife.  Although John is a Mastersmith, the blades are NOT marked with his M.S. stamp as these are not forged blades.  The blades are CPM 154 stainless steel, as are the springs, and the handle material is well-matched, creamy fossilized material with a keyhole-shaped escutcheon.  The frame/liners are 416 stainless steel.  Nice comfortable nail nicks, with smooth pullls.  Both blades have a half stop.  The blades lock up tight with no play, and the blade seating is perfect within the respective liners.  Comes in a padded, zippered Horrigan Custom Knives case.  Nice EDC to drop in your pocket.
