Les Voorhies Gent's Liner-Lock Folding Knife (SOLD)
Les Voorhies Gent's Liner-Lock Folding Knife (SOLD)
Les Voorhies is an incredibly talented custom knifemaker from Minnesota who makes balisongs, flippers, high-end art folders, and some fixed blades. Les started making knives in 1994, with his first knife constructed from a power hacksaw blade and some spare Cocobolo wood. With some mentoring, he began knifemaking as a hobby, but eventually went full-time in 2005 when he lost his job as an aircraft mechanic. This Gentleman's liner-lock folding knife features a satin finished, stainless steel spearpoint blade and carbon fiber scales. The liners are anodized titanium, and there is a right-handed thumbstud. The blade opens smoothly and locks up tight without any blade play. The blade sits centered between the liners when closed. There is a carbon fiber backspacer, as well. Weighs in at a mere 1.6 ounces - you'd barely notice it in your pocket. It did not come to me with a case, but I will make sure it includes some kind of sleeve or pouch for storage/carry.
