Mike Rothman Eureka Jack Slip-Joint Folding Knife

Mike Rothman Eureka Jack Slip-Joint Folding Knife

Mike Rothman, the craftsman behind Rothman Knives, was taught the art of slip-joints and lock-backs by renowned knifemaker Luke Swenson.  Along the way, makers like Stanley Buzek, Tim Robertson and Tobin Hill have also generously poured their knowledge into his journey.  Before turning his focus to knives, Mike spent over 20 years in the welding and fabrication world.  Today, Rothman Knives operates out of Manlius, New York, where each knife reflects a blend of traditional techniques and hard-earned craftsmanship.

This slip-joint folder is Mike's Eureka Jack.  The scales are Sunset Catalina jigged bone, and the blade steel is AEB-L stainless.  The bolsters are integral to the jeweled liners and are 416 stainless steel, as is the arrowhead shield.  The drop-point blade features a long pull, and the liners are tastefully file-worked.  The blade has a half-stop, a smooth and easy pull, locks up tight and sits right about center when closed.  This knife is new, direct from Mike and includes a Rothman Knives padded zippered case and Mike's COA.
