Mike Ruth Stag Damascus Bowie Knife + Rowe Leather Sheath

Mike Ruth earned his ABS Journeyman Smith in 2003.  Since then, he has been building Mastersmith quality knives.  This Damascus Bowie knife is indicative of Mike's outstanding work, and his attention to design, detail, and fit and finish.  Great ergonomics and balance - the perfect combination.  Mike forged the blade from 5160 and 15n20 steels and built the knife with hidden tang construction.  The fittings, including the guard, ferrule, pins and butt cap are all 416 stainless steel.  The guard has a "hammered" texture around the perimeter and the butt cap has a shadow line, both can be seen in the photos.  The handle is single piece of gorgeous natural stag, highly figured, with outstanding color and texture.  It is comfortable in-hand and affords the user a secure grip and great control of the knife.  This one makes you want to put it on your belt and go out into the field.  The knife has had one previous owner.  It has been stored in a climate controlled safe since new.  It is in mint condition.  It has never been used, carried or sharpened.  Comes with a Kenny Rowe frog button leather belt sheath and a Ruth Knives padded zipper case.
