Tanner Couch Barlow, Jigged Bone Scales, Slip-Joint Folding Knife (SOLD)
Tanner Couch Barlow, Jigged Bone Scales, Slip-Joint Folding Knife (SOLD)
Tanner Couch is a part-time slip-joint knifemaker from Tilden, TX. He has been making knives for about 5 or 6 years. Tanner is a member of the South Texas SlipJoint Cartel, whose members are a who's who of top tier slip-joint knifemakers. Tanner is a student of Bill Ruple, or as I like to refer to the many who Bill has mentored, a "Ruple Pupil". Tanner has learned well and should definitely be "on your radar". He has taken Bill's advice to heart and looks to make each knife he builds better than his last. His goal is to build a knife that is functional, well-made and "good looking". This knife is Brand New and direct from Tanner.
This is Tanner's Barlow slip-joint folding knife. It features a hand-rubbed CPM-154 stainless steel blade, and 410/416 stainless steel liners and bolster. The liners have been relieved, and the threaded bolster has three (3) shadow lines. The scales are Amber tested jigged bone (per the COA). The blade features a half-stop, locks up tight with no blade play, and centered blade seating. Nice comfortable long pull, that is both firm and smooth. Walks and talks too. An awesome piece of work from Tanner! Comes in a Couch Knives padded, zippered case and COA card signed by Tanner.
