Tashi Bharucha VELOCITY, "One-Off" Frame-Lock Flipper Folding Knife (SOLD)

The Velocity frame-lock flipper is a "one-off" version of one of Tashi Bharucha’s most collectible designs.  The profile and ergonomics are classic Tashi.  To handle one of Tashi's knives is true experience - clean, sleek and comfortable.  This Velocity features a hand rubbed CPM-154 stainless steel blade with a unique "asymmetrical grind" that Tashi told me was the first and only time he has ever done this.  Look closely at Photo #2.  You will notice that the swedge on the presentation side stops short of the tip of the blade.  And the swedge on the clip side goes all the way to the tip of the blade.  In addition, you will notice the backspacer, which I believe is Copper Mokume Gane.  Again, this is something Tashi told me his has never done before.  These two (2) unique features truly make this knife a "one-of-a-kind" Velocity.  The blade flips smoothly and with authority, being on bearings.  The speed hole frame and sculpted pocket clip are titanium.  There is a zirconium pivot collar around the fancy pivot pin.  The knife is set for tip-up pocket carry.  The blade seating is spot-on, it has excellent detent, locks up vault tight and there is no lock stick.  This knife is new from Tashi at Blade Show 2024.  It comes in a Tashi padded, zippered case.
