Tashi Bharucha Made Knives CROOK Prototype, Flipper Folding Knife
This CROOK Prototype is new from Tashi Bharucha at the 2025 Blade Show. The Crook liner-lock flipper is one of Tashi’s latest designs. The profile and ergonomics have Tashi written all over it. To handle one of Tashi's knives is true experience - it melts in your hand. Tashi is the master at building esthetically pleasing and flawlessly functioning "art". He continues to outdo himself with each and every build.
This knife features a hand rubbed RWL-34 stainless steel blade, that flips on bearings. The scales are Carbon Fiber. Tashi has done something a bit different on the construction of this Prototype, that I have attempted to capture in the last four (4) photos. If you notice, the scales on either side are of different thicknesses. Sandwiched between them is the Zirconium backspacer and an anodized Titanium liner/liner-lock. Tashi did this to reduce the weight of the knife to a mere 4.6 ounces. The knife also features a sculpted anodized Titanium clip that matches the liner and flows perfectly with the lines of the frame. It is set for tip-up pocket carry. And there are Timascus collars around the pivot pin, on both sides of the handle. The flipping action is perfect - fast, smooth and with authority. The blade sits dead center in the handle, locks up vault tight and drops closed with a bit of a shake. It comes in a Tashi Bharucha Made Knives padded, zippered case.
