Todd Begg Custom Glimpse 5.5 Prototype, Frame-Lock Flipper (SOLD)
Todd Begg Custom Glimpse 5.5 Prototype, Frame-Lock Flipper (SOLD)
This custom Todd Begg Glimpse 5.5 Prototype, frame-lock flipper, has a compound hand ground, satin finished, fluted with holes, hollow ground N690 Bohler Steel blade with a swedge. It runs on upgraded ceramic IKBS ball bearings (marked below the IKBS logo). Ceramic bearings will eliminate the possibility of corrosion, and increase flipping smoothness. The blade is marked Prototype 008. The handle frame is Diamond Textured 6AL4V Titanium, gray, with silver highlights. It also features Todd Begg Design (Patent Pending) replaceable 6AL4V Titanium textured lock-bar, with integral lock-bar over-travel stop and ceramic detent. The 6AL4V titanium backspacer is partially raised (towards the end), with a cracked iced finish (towards the middle of the frame). The raised titanium portion of the backspacer helps improve reverse grip control, and can also serve as glass breaker. The low-ride jeweled iced pocket clip has an inset black ceramic ball at the end, for easy pocket carry, and is set for tip up carry. The entire length of the blade spine also has a cracked ice finish, as well as the flipper tab / choil. The knife exhibits exceptional flipping action - perfect detent for a strong, smooth, and quick deployment. The blade locks up vault tight, and the lock releases easily without the slightest evidence of stick. The blade sits centered in the frame when closed. This knife is previously owned, and in virtually mint condition. It has only been handled. This is a knife that was built for someone who wants to own and carry the best there is - Todd Begg perfection. For either the serious collector, or a great EDC. It comes in a padded, zippered case.
Condition: Previously owned. Near mint. Never used, carried, or sharpened.
